Lisa Vargovcik, LCSW
Lisa sees adults, teenagers, and children and is skilled with a range of presenting problems including addiction, anger, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and self-harm. Lisa also meets with clients who are exploring gender identity and gender expression. She strives to build flexible, caring relationships based on trust, understanding, and shared goals. Lisa works with many different cultural groups and embraces the wealth of perspectives, differences, and variety that make every person who sees her unique. Coming from an approach of solving problems by finding and using the strengths of clients, she believe that progress is possible regardless of the severity and duration of a person's concerns. Lisa understands how important it is for a client to feel validated, be understood, and to hear that their problems or concerns matter. To Lisa, this is key in empowering a client to work towards wellness and recovery. Lisa uses a variety of interventions including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
